If It Were Easy

If it were easy
Anyone could do it.
Thought I had something
But now I see through it

I
I wanted to believe
That this was right for me
That the signs meant
Something

But now I
I'm down on my knees
Begging God please
To get me through
This

If it were easy
Anyone could do it.
Got my hopes up
And they blew away

Things that I know
Things that I need
Are now useless to me.
Please take it all
And give me back my
Dignity
