In Times Like This

In times like this

I write rhymes like this

Cleverly encapsulating 

A moment I can't miss

Words beckon

Then hiss

Beg me for a kiss

Shuts down dreams 

And nightmares

For a second of such bliss

Like nails on a chalkboard

Screeching like a banshee

Hovering like a black cloud

Smothering like a dark shroud

Possessing my pen

While I frown

Then grin

Such wonders words weave

Until I sketch
