Yellow For Friendship

Yellow for friendship

And red for romance

You kisses taste sour

It's a dangerous dance

I sense your reluctance

You have me wrapped so tight

Say one quick affirmation...

And I just might

Be yours forever

Despite the swift blow

Of a closed fist

To my face

I might not let go

I pull away

Trembling

You hold me too tight

What gifts will you give

This time...

I just might

Find that courage

When I look into your eyes

Eyes full of deception

Eyes full of lies

Words full of venom

Float to my ears

I'll catch them

I'll kill them

I'll burn that fear
