Forging of a Knight: The Stolen Thief

Forging of a Knight: The Stolen Thief

Legend calls them the Ruinous Ones: the Dokahlfar and Vartahlfar. They were evil elves and dwarfish minions that controlled an unknown technological magic. Driven to corrupt all things of goodness and light, the evil elves sought power beyond that of tree and root. They warred against their own kin, the high elves, and were defeated, fleeing into the dark, perhaps never to be heard from again.

Honorable and brave knight Qualtan knows little of elves as he sets out on his own quest. His half-orcne friend, Glaive, went missing during a secret assignment from the king, which went awry. Qualtan searches for his lost ally, but in the process he is caught up in the story of the Ruinous Ones and now must uncover the secret of their disappearance—and if they seek to return and claim the power they seek.

Some seek vengeance while others seek truth. Contracts must be satisfied and desires explored leaving both Lorand and Jude with a vested interest in all The Club has to offer, because both are seeking…an Eye for an Eye.

How I Became a Published Author: One Blog at a Time by, Lori Ann Davis

How I Became a Published Author:

One Blog at a Time

by, Lori Ann Davis

I started writing blogs about a year and a half ago. My reason for starting a blog was twofold: I wanted to write about healthy relationships, a topic close to my heart, and I wanted to increase awareness and traffic to my website in order to grow my business. I have been a counselor for over 28 years, but this was my first time to have an internet presence with a new practice in a new town. Blogging seemed like a good way to introduce my practice and allow potential clients to see what I had to offer. I am passionate about helping people create more fulfilling relationships, and writing a blog seemed like the perfect way to get my message out to more people. While I got into a rhythm writing for my blog, writing a book never seriously crossed my mind. Friends and colleagues had mentioned the idea in passing over the years, but I did not see myself as a published author.

It was scary enough to start blogging on a regular basis. I knew I had good information that people could benefit from, but I wasn’t sure I could write it in a way they would enjoy. At first, each blog felt like a great accomplishment, and I quickly realized that I actually enjoyed writing my weekly blog.  Soon after, ideas for posts started coming faster than I could keep up with.
At the same time, I became a regular guest on a radio show. The blogs and radio show’s topics fed each other, mainly the concept of creating healthy, lasting relationships. It was from this, that ideas about a possible book began to intrigue me. I took a look at my blog posts and realized I had a lot of information, definitely enough to start a book. This concept took root, and I began to write more blog posts specifically focusing on my secrets, thinking about how they would fit into a book.

About six months later, I took the plunge and announced I was writing a book! From there, I made a list of all of the posts I had published and divided them into what I called the 4 secrets to an unstoppable relationship. This is how I came up with my original book outline and how many of my blog posts became chapter titles. As I started organizing the book, I could see areas that were missing, so those became new blog ideas. Before long, I had the beginning of a book. I was amazed at how easy the process was and how quickly it came together using my blog posts to organize the book and my book to write new posts. It was a perfect marriage.

A year and a half later, I became the published author of, Unmasking Secrets to Unstoppable Relationships: How to Find, Keep and Renew Love and Passion in Your Life.

Live Interview with Scottie Madden!

Live Interview with Scottie Madden!

Join The Book Nymph PR and Scottie Madden for a live interview about her new release, Getting Back to Me: From Girl to Boy to Woman in Just 50 Years.

The realtime account of the coming out of a respected adventure survival filmmaker, taken from her journal entries as she leaves behind fear and “white male privilege” to embrace truth, grace and womanhood. Her gut-wrenching journey of love, acceptance and honesty becomes the ultimate survival show.
Scottie didn’t make it easy on herself. Like many late-stage trans women, Scottie had made one helluva guy; succeeding as a husband of 26 years, the only son, the big brother to three sisters and the legendary adventurer uncle to their children. Everything in her life screamed Alpha Male, Ultimate Man, Best Boy, the dude, and the man.

No one could guess that Scottie, a top survival showrunner for Discovery Channel and the History Channel, known for leading über-male productions in the world’s most dangerous locations, was losing a lifelong battle for her soul.

It takes true love from her wife of 26 years, for Scottie to shake off fifty years of expectations from her family, society and herself. But first, she must face her own denial to dismantle the walls of a self imposed prison.

Scottie’s articulate and insightful perspective shines new light on the transgender experience, but it's her deeply personal confession told with unflinching clarity, inspiring courage, and engaging humor, that makes her story a must read for any human, of any persuasion. Hers is a love story that will inspire and affirm everyone.

About the Author
Scottie Madden has created and written Children's television (Pug & Zero's Field Trip) Feature Film ("the kiss") game shows, ("Do you trust me?""Duel,""On the Cover," and "Last to Survive") primetime ("Blood of Queens," "The Other Woman," "Out of the Wild," "Dude, You're Screwed") and award winning screenplays. Ms. Madden balances her time between being a showrunner in the adventure documentary world, caring for the love of her life and cooking. All three come together in her writing, with each story a grand adventure from the  heart, full of laughter, love, and somehow, there's always food...
